MacKenzie Willeke, a survivor, overcame sexual abuse as a child by her softball coach and father's best friend. With the support of her family, friends, and the Ottawa County's Child Advocacy Center, she took one of the darkest moments of her life and turned it around. MacKenzie graduated from Western Michigan University with her Bachelor's Degree and continued on to get her Master's Degree in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Western Michigan University in May of 2021. Her first professional job after college was as a Mental Health Therapist with the IM SAFE CAC.

At our luncheon. you will hear her family's journey and learn how she now brings hope as well as healing to victims everywhere. MacKenzie reminds us all that we are more than what has happened to us, that each of us have intrinsic value, and that together we have a bright future.
