Help Us Keep the Doors Open for Children Who Need Us Most

The Ionia Montcalm Secure and Friendly Environment Child Advocacy Center (IM SAFE CAC) has received a devastating $76,219 reduction in federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA) funding. This cut threatens vital, front-line services for child abuse victims and their families through out Ionia and Montcalm counties. Since opening in March 2015, the center has served 2,897 child victims—completely free of charge.  

IM SAFE CAC provides a safe, trauma-informed environment for children ages 2–17 who have survived sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, and human trafficking. Every child deserves a safe place to heal. Help us keep that place available.

$2,000 Door Sponsorship


Your $2,000 gift allows you to sponsor a door at the IM SAFE CAC. Your business name or family name will be proudly displayed on your chosen door for one full year and a heart on our giving wall.  We will also give a shout out to our door sponsors in our monthly newsletter and on our Facebook page.   • Mental Health Suite Door  — Supporting emotional recovery and long-term wellness.
  • Counseling Office Door — Providing specialized, trauma-informed therapy.
  • Group Therapy Room  Door— Supporting peer, family, and shared healing.
  • Play Therapy Room  Door— Helping younger children process trauma through play.
  • Family Advocacy Office Door— Providing crisis intervention, court support, and essential resources.

  • Waiting Room  Door— A calm, welcoming space designed to reduce anxiety.
  • Family Intake Room  Door— A private, compassionate first step in the healing journey.


⚖️ THE JUSTICE & SAFETY ZONES

  • Forensic Interview Room Door — A specialized, neutral environment for child interviews.
  • Conference Room Door— A space that brings the IM SAFE CAC team together for board meetings, team meetings, case reviews, planning, collaboration, and connection.
  • SANE  Exam Room  Door— A private, child-centered space for specialized medical examinations by trained professionals following suspected sexual abuse. This space helps ensure children receive compassionate medical care while supporting their health, safety, and healing.
  • MDT Forensic Viewing Room Door— Bringing professionals together to view the child’s interview and coordinate a compassionate response.

  • Prevention Education Office Door — Supporting community outreach, mandated reporter training, and school programs designed to prevent abuse.

  • Alfred’s Corner Door - a special space where families served by IM SAFE CAC can find essential items they may need during difficult times offered free of charge.
